A new event for all those adventurous open canoeists.

A brand new event paddling in the the beautiful setting of Loch Ken in the Scottish Borders.

We meet up at Ellerton on Friday night,  after an early breakfast on Saturday morning we are then transported to the Loch meaning that we then get two good days paddling with an overnight at a local campsite before returning home on Sunday evening.

The Regional Activities Team are looking to run a Regional Creative get together in North Yorkshire in early March and are looking to all the members of the Region both to make it happen and to attend once it is organised.

Details will appear here very shortly.

Hard on the heels of the indoor courses successfully run for the first time in November 2011 for Scouts and Explorers at Harrogate Climbing Centre, and just finished, the activities team has extended the program with more courses for Winter 2012. 

• Another NICAS Level 1 course will run for 3 consecutive Tuesdays, January 17th, 24th and 31st.  LAST 2 PLACES
• A brand new NICAS Level 2 course will run on 4 consecutive Tuesdays, January 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.  FULL
• 2 skills sessions will run on each of Saturday February 4th and Saturday March 3rd.
