The County Activities Team is made up of six areas, you can find out more about each of them below.

Each of these 'teams' has a programme of events that are publicised on the County Diary.

The Creative Activities Team

Offer a range of creative activities and skills for Young Leaders and Leaders and to provide opportunities for the members of the Movement in the

County to show their creative skills through activities such as Gang Shows, Camp Fires, Bands etc.

The Team is always looking for new members with skills to share.

Activities with a creative theme:

 

  • Art
  • Crafts
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Film
  • Gang Shows 
  • Music
  • Photography

The Earth Activities Team

Offer a wide range of earth based experiences including introductory, improvers and badge work days. The team is mobile and can provide activities at various venues on request (the more notice the better), dependant on instructor availability.

 

The Team can provide:

  • Caving
  • Climbing
  • Grass Sledging
  • Mountain Biking
  • Orienteering
  • Walking

The Event Support Team 

Offer a wide range of support for any type of scouting event from camps to promotional events. The team is mobile and can provide event support at various venues on request (the more notice the better), dependant on team member availability.

 

The Team can provide help with:

  • Display Trailer
  • Lighting
  • PMR Radios
  • Power
  • Sound

The Field Activities Team

Offer a range of field based experiences including introductory, improvers and badge work. The team is mobile and can provide activities at various venues on request (the more notice the better), dependant on instructor availability.

 

The Team can provide:

  • Air Rifle Shooting
  • Archery
  • Pioneering
  • Soft Air Shooting

The Technology Activities Team

Is in the process of being developed.

 

The Water Activities Team

Offer a wide range of water activity experiences from discovery sessions to events that lead to national governing body qualifications. The Team is based at Ellerton Water Park near Catterick and provides a very full programme and can help provide activities at other venues on request (the more notice the better), dependant on instructor availability.

 

The Team can provide:

  • Bell Boating
  • Dinghy Sailing
  • Kayaking
  • Open Canoeing
  • Traditional Raft Building
  • Windsurfing
