Deputy County Youth Commissioners - Why not be a role model for young people?
We are looking to recruit two Deputy County Youth Commissioners, one of whom will hopefully step up and take on the role of County Youth Commissioner when the current holder of the post steps down in 2022. These are adult leadership roles and you should be aged 18-24. The role is open to any adult and no previous Scouting experience is required. This is a great opportunity for young adult leaders who want to make a real difference and ensure that young people from age 6 to 25 are involved and engaged in every decision that shapes their Scouting experience. They will also take a lead to help empower young people across the County to share ideas and have a meaningful voice in planning, implementing and reviewing their programme and opportunities. County Diversity & Inclusion Adviser - Help us to support young people and leaders.
We wish to appoint a County Diversity & Inclusion Adviser who will advise our leaders and members on how we can ensure Scouting in inclusive and diverse across North Yorkshire. The role is open to any adult interested in promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion, and no previous Scouting experience is required. As a key member of the County Team, you will work in support of all 13 Scouting Districts across North Yorkshire and have the opportunity to bring invaluable advice to our leaders and members. County Top Awards Adviser - Help young people to reach the top!
As our County Top Awards Adviser, you will support our leaders and members in the running of and promotion of Top Awards for young members age 6 to 17 and Scout Network members from age 18 to 25. The role is open to any adult and no previous Scouting experience is required. As a member of the County Team, you will work in partnership with the County Commissioner and County Team to help promote Top Awards for all Scouting sections, including The Queen's Scout, World Scout, Platinum, Diamond, Explorer Belt and Duke of Edinburgh's Awards throughout the County.
