June 2020 gives us our 300th Edition!!
Where Were You in December 1991? Just before Christmas in 1991, a 3-month trial began, when the County Office published the first edition of the North Yorkshire Scouts Information Bulletin. As they say, the rest is history……….
Throughout this month’s edition, you will find extracts from Have-u-Heard? over the past 29 years. There’s some interesting reading and it shows how much Scouting has changed over the years. But take a look at our new timeline on the County website Through The Years with Have-u-Heard?
Returning to Face to Face Scouting - A Message from the County Commissioner
Recently during the All Members’ Online Meeting, the UK Team outlined plans to return to face to face Scouting, as well as financial proposals for the UK membership fee for young members next year and news that the annual census will now take place every October, starting this year.
If you click HERE, it will take you directly to The Scout Association website page where you will find the links to the guidance you will need, alongside other important information.
The procedures outlined are ones that we all MUST follow WHEN, and I say very importantly WHEN, we are given the go-ahead to start face-to-face sessions with our young members. It is imperative that every Group and section downloads this guidance and begins to work on the key document for your return and that is the Risk Assessment. All Risk Assessments must be approved by your District and the District must pass copies of them all, once approved, to the County Office.

We can't wait for the 400th Edition - what will we be doing then??
