Water Activities for 2022

Wate22021

The Water Activities Team have been busy sorting out the water activities for this year and hope to welcome back as many young members as possible to their events.

Your can view or dowload the 2022 (Edition 3) Diary here and all events are now open for bookings on the County Calendar.

Most of the events, up to the end of July, are now available in the updated Water Activities Team Diary, which you can view or download here, and bookings are now open on the County Calendar.  Events after July will be added in the coming months and this will be announced.

As a result of ongoing COVID restrictions, the team are having to make their training events open to Group bookings only as follows:

Half-day Paddlesports. Two groups of 6 participants per morning or afternoon; these are aimed at Cubs upwards, except for 23rd April which is for Scouts upwards to enable them to get some time on the water before booking on the full day courses.

Half-day Sailsports. One group of 6 participants per morning or afternoon; these are aimed at Cubs upwards except for 14th May which is for Scouts upwards to enable them to get some time on the water before booking on the full day courses.

Half-day Windsurfing. One group of 6 participants per morning or afternoon, these are aimed at Scouts upwards

Full-day Paddlesports. Two groups of 8 participants per day; these are aimed at Scouts upwards (including Network and Leaders)

Full-day Sailsports. Two groups of 6 participants per day; these are aimed at Scouts upwards (including Network and Leaders)

Beaver & Parent Guardian Days. The team has also reduced the number of places on the two Beaver and parent/guardian days to ensure there is more space around the site to be safe, but will increase this later if conditions allow. These are open for individual bookings, although these have normally been booked by Colonies in the past and this is encouraged. The team will continue to monitor the situation and offer more places if possible.
